State News from our Legislative Representative
The following is our Legislave agenda for 2027:
1) Waymo- we will continue to fight against Waymo coming to Illinois and challenge any bills that do not contain language on oversight, accountability, and data sharing from Waymo.
2) Flock Cameras- flock has become a major issue with many people throughout state regarding privacy and we will look to get legislation in Springfield to the regulate.
3) Right to repair- we will work to get legislation done to allow us to get information from dealerships after the warranty period has ended to be able to work on our own equipment and allow for small shops to be able to get the information too.
4) Profiling- this is always going to be an issue but we will try to include something to profiling and harassment with education to stop.
5) Helmets- we will always watch for and oppose any helmet bills or bills mandating certain types of safety gear.
6) Ethanol- we will continue to monitor the expansion of ethanol and e-15 as it is harmful to our motorcycles.
7) Work with the state police to upgrade the reckless homicide statutes.
8) Lane-splitting/filtering- this is a big issue with younger riders. We are still neutral on the issue and will watch to see if anything about this comes up as this currently under review and may change.
